Centre for African Strategy in BRICS
The youth laboratory “Center for the Study of the BRICS African Strategy” was established on the basis of the Institute of Africa of the Russian Academy of Sciences and with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation
The Center conducts fundamental and applied research aimed at studying the African vector of international relations and global governance, as well as the politics and economics of African countries that are members of BRICS or cooperate with the association.

Research areas of the Centre:

Development of a strategy for Russia's interaction with the African BRICS member states based on the modelling results.

Assessing the implications of African countries joining BRICS and identifying priority areas for collaboration with Russia.

Study of the prospects for further expansion of BRICS on the African continent, creation of a model of the BRICS expansion until 2030.

Analyzing the political characteristics and economic development of African BRICS member states.
